                                       🌜🌜 "Sleepless Nights" πŸŒ›πŸŒ›
                                             Stress or a blessing

After my chemo treatments I've discovered an extended time with the Lord during the night.
Instead of tossing & turning I get up and write my to-d0 lists for the next few days ... drink needed water (which enhances my chemo recovery)
I jot down prayers for others and pray for friends ... people to call ... food to make and healthy breakfast ideas. I laugh and cry with the Lord ... it's so healing.
I don't dread my middle of the night awake times now. For me, I'm not young and I'm able to nap during the day when needed.
My chemo makes me extremely fatigued and my extended time at night is a happy time for me now.
Many of us with health challenges nap and most of us not really wanting to. But now, I've changed my often waking hours at night from a stress to a productive time. And a good time with God.
As a writer we get a lot of our great ideas at night anyway ... ha. I take advantage of that.
I often pop out of bed for a minute to jot down things like:
make fruit salad
or buy stamps
make fruit punch
research good brain snacks
Silly stuff that give me comfort.
                                            And I am comforted.
⭐⭐⭐ I give my sleep needs to my Lord. ⭐⭐⭐
